Dates for September/October

Hey Ladies!

I thought I would post the dates for September/October so everyone know what is going on!

Thursday September 3 - 7.30 - 10ish
Thursday September 24 - 7.30 - 10ish

NO GROUP THURSDAY OCT 1 as Jenny will be away

so then in October

Thursday October 8 - 7.30 - 10ish
Thursday October 22 - 7.30 - 10ish
Thursday October 29 - 7.30 - 10ish

Help me, Blogless Mary!!!

With all my wedding preparations, I don't think I'll manage to get to Perle's before the big day.
Mary, can you please tell me where I can get a pair of those awesome cufflink backs.

Finally....

have something to show you guys! 4 weeks to this. Nikki says it's always like that, as we are learning all the little things. I spent a whole session unpicking!

It's actually seersucker, so I had to fuse wadding first then interfacing, not the other way round, or I would have lost the 'seer-sucker-ness'- know wot I mean?

It had it's first outing today- now I want to change the strap! I'm terrible.

Cufflinks

I've decided to make my partner some cufflinks as a gift for our wedding day.
(Lucky he doesn't read this blog).

I'm going to make some covered buttons using these images of our children:



Then, I'll stick them on to cufflink backings.
Mary, can I buy a pair from you at the next Perle's?

EDIT - 11th June : I can't get there next week but will be there first Thurs in July.

I can quit anytime I want to.. I just don't want to.

So.... there better be a TV there tonight.

I'm just sayin'.

Cause if I don't get my Masterchef fix well...

About last night ....

A small group and lots of fun.

Justine had a shy moment while making some sweet 'quiet time pillows'.


Cath made some funky pink coasters using CDs and some leopard print. Lovely!!!


I also had a shy moment, hiding behind my latest quilting effort:

Annette did some clever knitting .....


.... with a bit of help from Mary, who wins the prize for the most productive crafter of the week.
